2015年年底有第二版,可能是換封面。
對於想追根究柢的讀者,對於《推薦序》中的末段話,會覺得很有意思:"......卻完全不害文意,不減少全書的內容,實在是超優秀的譯作。......"
談點鄭明萱譯的《青花瓷的故事》:貓頭鷹出版社採取的正文不寫洋字母的方式,卻是對讀者極不方便,即,書名還要查它的漢字筆畫數.....又譬如說,描寫英國運河的沿河地名,你根本無從查起。
目錄未依原書方式在各章內分節。
Robert Finlay《青花瓷的故事》(鄭明萱譯) 的出版社編輯,堅持正文不附外文字母,書末用對照表說明。
這會有些問題,譬如說,內文"特安農宮 (凡爾賽)"沒收入對照,而Wikipedia有其它譯法: Petit Trianon 小特里亞農宮,凡爾賽宮。
本書引用Penguine 版的蒙田全集,部過在"注釋 VS 參考資料"兩處出現 "1983 vs 1993"年份不一致。
譯者不知何故,都不將聖經及各經採用《》表示,譬如說,
